Default Fix the terrible NPC AI

Every time I get a quest that involves external NPCs on my side, I emit a woeful sigh, because I know this likely means completing a quest designed for you to be assisted by a number of NPCs who never seem to work. They'll either not follow you or not attack enemies. Examples include the Consulate Docks and Tihark Orchard missions, but it's true for practically every quest that involves non-hero/hench allies. I don't know if the developers are already working on a fix but it has apparently been a problem for quite a while, and I think this should be top priority since it's such a huge bug that directly influences people's ability to progress through the game. Don't ignore this immense flaw in the game's code, it's a huge detriment for any game company's reputation to allow bugs like that to stay for long periods of time, and I refuse to believe that the problem lies in the coders' inability to fix it.

something did change in the Orchard mission
- the guards no longer assist you as much to kill the harpys

I did this mission at least 6 times with no problems *before late November*

I did it again 2 days ago and its buggy now

this update may be the culprit

Update - Thursday November 30

* Modified monster behavior so that they now prefer targets within their guard ranges.

Yeah, I hate this too.

Especially on GoM. You have Kormir on your team. What does she do? Naff all! You can be fighting Lil' S and she still refuses to use "Incoming!" to help you!

They seem to be plotting on you, too. Noticed when you die the mobs that killed you never attack your "allies"?

Hmm...

Kormir doesn't do ANYTHING after the second mission. I mean come on man she has no eyes.

Maybe Kormir should switch professions to Ritualist .... they have their eyes covered.

I would like to see the henchies get just a little more inteligent and not bunch up on me. I move, they move with me. Spread out guys, so one AOE doesn't get us all! Any sane person or monster would do the same.

Only problem with this is it would creat threads saying "OMG hench are too spread out/they keep grabbing more aggro". It's impossible to creat a system that will please everyone.

Also, NPCs that dont use skills dont get attacked either, so they don't die first and screw your quest/mission, which I think comes in handy. Would you really rather they gave the npcs skills, but let them get attacked? You almost complete a really hard mission/quest only to have the npc die at the last moment?

Well, she's blind, and she also says, "You lead, and I shall body block you" ... or something like that.
